The 'Kingdom of National Parks' – surrounded by 6 national parks. Dovrefjell-Sunndalsfjella, Dovre, Rondane, Reinheimen, Jotunheimen and Breheimen are all national parks within reach of Søre Traasdahl. A week's holiday is nowhere near enough if you want to explore these mountain areas of which we are so proud.

A 100 kW wood-chip boiler supplies heat to the farmhouse and the four rental cabins. The system is combined with evacuated-tube solar collectors, stated to provide around 14,000 kWh of heat per year. The buildings and resources lend themselves to a range of uses – a home, letting, courses and meetings, dog-related activities and farm-based enterprise – subject to public permits and current planning rules.

The boiler is stated to be a 100 kW Hargassner ECO-HK, installed in 2024. The system has two 1,500-litre buffer tanks, one of which is connected to evacuated-tube solar collectors on the roof. It heats the farmhouse and four rental cabins and pre-heats domestic hot water.

The building complex dates from 2010 and was extended with a meeting room and lean-to shelter (gapahuk) in 2019. The boiler house and chip silo are stated to be approx. 60 sq m, the meeting room approx. 50 sq m and the shelter approx. 30 sq m. The meeting room has a kitchen, a wood-fired pizza oven and its own connection to the sewage system. The shelter has seating, a pizza oven, a wood-fired griddle and a fire pit.

Garage and parking spaces on the plot.

Joramo common land (bygdealmenning): the landowner has free access to small-game hunting licences. Joramo common covers a varied forest and high-mountain area of 83.4 sq km in Lesja and Dovre municipalities, of which 59.6 sq km lies within protected areas. The common has 10,714 decares of productive forest and includes four summer-farm hamlets with a total of 35 summer farms. In all, 159 farms, from Hjelle in Dovre to Sør-Hole in Lesja, hold user rights in the common. These include grazing and summer farming, hunting and trapping, and allowances of timber and building materials for documented agricultural needs. A user-right allowance of 35 per cent is normally granted on approved material purchases.

Public transport: the nearest bus stop, Tråsådal, is just a minute's walk (0.1 km) away. Dombås bus terminal and Dombås station (rail connections) are around 7–8 minutes' drive.

Schools and nurseries: the nearest school is Lesja skule (years 1–10) with 142 pupils, 9 minutes away by car (11.6 km). The nearest nursery, Dombås barnehage, is 7 minutes away.

Amenities and sport: grocery shopping is in Dombås (Bunnpris and Coop Extra), 6–7 minutes away, which also offers sports facilities such as Dombåshallen and a multi-use games area.

The property is not connected to mains water or sewerage. Water comes from a private well on the property, serving six subscribers in total. Sewage goes to a private 13 cubic metre septic tank with surge tank, installed around 2000. The infiltration system is reported to have been refurbished with new drainage trenches in 2020 and is stated to be sized for 35 person equivalents.
